JNIT supports the Hoozin solutions on different levels. First of all we manage and maintain all the infrastructure for Source Code Management and Development. We are able to spin up new Dev machines on the fly, depending on the Hoozin new Projects and Customers. The Development infrastructure also covers the source code hosting management. The source code of Hoozin fluctuates in versions and we make sure version control is always up to the latest standards.

But we also serve the heartbeat of all Hoozin Cloud based customers. The Microsoft Cloud Azure Management. Using a reserved instances process with Microsoft, we have unified control over different customers. We manage both multi-tenant as well as single tenant deployments. Du to the wide distribution of the Hoozin Customers we have a worldwide Data center management process. For example, Singaporean customers must have their data stored in Singapore and geographical back up can not leave the borders. We are heavily involved in documenting compliance, certification and ISO’s. Some of the certificates we enable with Microsoft Azure are:

  • MTCS Tier 3 (Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard) Compliant
  • ISO 27017 (Cloud Specific Controls) Compliant
  • ISO 27018 (Personal Data Protection Controls) Compliant
  • CSA STAR (Cloud Security Alliance Controls) Compliant
  • ISO27001 Certification Compliant
  • SSAE16 SOC Type 1 -2 Compliant

We make sure all key security and compliance levels are met per Customer, region. From Network security to DDOS attack defense settings.

JNIT Product Development services also provides 24 hours Monitoring and incident support for the MS Azure instance, including alerting on major events. Our Microsoft Azure engineers are able to tweak and improve cloud performance and set up architectures that reduce ‘last mile latency’.

Hoozin works with JNIT for it’s expertise, it’s availability and exceptional reputation in security and configuration. The JNIT response time is covered in strict SLA’s.

Hoozin Software has both Microsoft Azure based customer s as well as on premises customers. For the on premises customers, JNIT also does directly the maintenance of the servers and protects the good performance. Especially at the Hoozin on premises customers we find a lot of tailor made Devops operations.

In conclusion, JNIT can serve product development and product operations in both on premises, AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Let JNIT do the tough work, so you can focus better on winning new Customers and reduce TCO overhead.

Contact JNIT to see how we can help you maintain better your solution.

In this blog we want to dive deeper into a common JNIT use case; On premises to Cloud Migration. We receive many requests to execute migrations and manage post migration steps. A typical Cloud Migration assignment is split in goals and mile stones.

Here is a classical requirements list we see often:

Assist in implementing Office 365 to:

  • replace on-premise Exchange Server to Exchange Online
  • provide mailboxes with 50GB each to all staffs
  • provide Calendar sharing
  • allow Resources booking
  • have an Address book and grouping
  • move SharePoint to SharePoint Online

We basically need to do a functional Email Platform Migration. First we provide a process of provisioning. We prepare the initial configuration of the email environment (Office 365) and knowledge transfer to the Customer IT staff on the new usage of the email management portal.

In some cases the email format changes. This could be:

Existing Format

Fullname.location@domain-name

New Format

Firstname.lastname@domain-name

An important part of the migration is good housekeeping. For this we make a plan covering Office 365 Readiness Assessment, Onsite Discovery, and Project Planning. This part of the process covers a long checklist, excluding problems later during cutover. Some of the point we run through is, Networking and Naming Services Planning and determining required tasks for configuring network and DNS. Other check list items are User Identity and Account Provisioning Planning and SSO planning.

Preparing the environment for an Office 365 Deployment. The preparation now also involves more then IT. The Business needs to be informed and educated on the changes. But also commodity tasks are covered here such as anti-spam and malware protection. Configuring the end user stations as well as assuring a good experience is key.

With the Migration and Cutover phase we start to assign licenses to users. We also run a heavy test list.

Finally, we provide Post Deployment Support and Office 365 Administration Training. This includes onsite training, and Admin O365 services. Contact JNIT or visit our page on Devops here

JNIT has been around and we know something about processes and deployments. We want DevOps to reduce the risk of unsuccessful deployment in production. By using protocols and Devops we create smoother processes at deployment of code. It protects the performance for end users and reduce expensive downtime. DevOps goes beyond being Agile. Agile is about matching development and testing as where Devops aims at continuous Integration, continuous Testing and continuous delivery. In order to make the word ‘continous’ work in the context of compelx IT deployments and maintenance, excellent skill set is needed. These skill sets are not only in experience and knowledge, it also needs to have a high level of problem solving capabilities. This is where JNIT come sin the picture.

JNIT can operate extremely complex Devops processes with remote or on premises staff to support and evolve your IT quality. We work with the best talent and we apply to our talent the best possible training processes. JNIT Training is more then just faster on boarding or working on employee retention. Training is the back bone of the new Capital, being Human Capital.

Our training program has of course a theoretical part in it all, but is highly focused on real terrain issues. Here is an extract from our Devops Training program overview:

Overview on SDLC, Agile and end-to-end project workflow
Overview of 3tier architecture Traditional methodologies
Version Control systems – Checkout, Branch, Merge and Commit using Git and SVN.
Build System – Maven concepts and demo on building a complete .war package
Repository Manager – Nexus, Artifactory
Deploy .war package to web container.
Tomcat – Setup, Configuration, Clustering with HTTPD using mod_jk and mod_proxy, JDBC, Session Management
Security – SSL/TLS KeyStore Management, Authentication and authorization using LDAP like Microsoft Active Directory, SSO(SAML) using ADFS
Logging and Tracing Catalina. Out, access and error logs

The JNIT Devops training program allows organizations to strengthen skills that each employee needs to improve. A development program that JNIT brings to the table, brings all employees to a higher level so they all have improved skills and knowledge. It also helps reduce learning curves and faster on boarding. Last but not least, it boosts confidence and productivity.

The JNIT Devops services and training programs are on of many available. Contact us today for more information.
